Makesy makes candles, fragrance, and home & beauty supplies for makers and brands, selling DTC, wholesale, B2B, Etsy, and Amazon. We're growing fast and built on creativity and craftsmanship, and we need someone who can bring that to life on social.

The Role

We're looking for a Social Media Manager to run our presence on Instagram, Facebook & Facebook Community Groups, TikTok, and YouTube. You will own strategy, content, posting, and community, start to finish. You'll set the direction and also do the work: filming, editing, writing captions, and replying to comments yourself. This isn't a role where you hand off execution to someone else, you're the strategist and the creator! This role is responsible for growing engaged communities across our brand portfolio, driving brand awareness, supporting product launches, and converting social engagement into measurable business results. This is a highly creative, hands-on role for someone who can both set the strategic vision and get in the weeds filming, editing, posting, and engaging daily.

What You'll Do

Strategy & Content

• Own the content calendar across all platforms (Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook & Groups, Youtube, Pinterest, Linkedin) and brands, balancing product launches, education, and everyday engagement
• Shoot and edit short- and long-form video for Reels, TikTok, and YouTube
• Write captions and hooks that actually sound like a person and get people hooked, tailored to each platform
• Moderate, post and manage all Facebook Community Groups
• Keep an eye on trends and platform changes and turn them into content fast
• Set measurable KPIs (follower growth, engagement rate, reach, click-through, conversion) and report on performance regularly

Community

• Reply to comments and DMs promptly and in our voice
• Build real relationships with our audience, candle makers, hobbyists, and small business owners
• Flag anything customer-service-related or sensitive to the right team

Influencers & Partnerships

• Find and manage relationships with creators for gifting, collabs, and UGC
• Track how those partnerships perform

Reporting

• Track what's working (and what isn't) across channels, and adjust
• Share regular updates with leadership on growth and engagement

What You'll Need

• 4+ years running social media for a brand, agency, or company (bonus points for CPG, beauty, home, or DIY/maker space)
• A track record of actually growing engaged audiences, not just posting
• Must have expensive knowledge in using Ai to generate content
• Solid video editing chops (CapCut, Premiere/Rush, or similar) and a good eye for photography
• Ability to shift tone across a few different brand voices without losing your own edge
• Comfortable being on camera or directing others who are
• Strong organizational skills! You're juggling multiple brands and deadlines without dropping anything

Nice to have: experience with a multi-brand portfolio, familiarity with Shopify/Attentive, paid social experience, and a genuine interest in candles and fragrance.
