Social Media Manager

About the Role

MKC Threads is a growing custom print and embroidery shop specializing in high-quality apparel and branded merchandise. We work with schools, small businesses, organizations, and brands to bring their ideas to life.

We’re looking for a Part-Time Social Media Manager to own our Instagram presence and tell the story of our work. You’ll create content that showcases our custom apparel, engage with our community, and run campaigns tied to Fraternity and Sorority Greek life and graduation seasons. This is a creative, hands-on role where you’ll spend time around our production floor capturing the process behind every order.

No prior experience is required; we provide full training.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, create, and schedule engaging content, including Reels, Stories, carousels, and posts.
• Capture and edit photo and video content showcasing custom apparel, customer stories, and behind-the-scenes moments
• Monitor daily engagement by responding to comments, direct messages, and story interactions
• Track Instagram analytics, including reach, engagement, follower growth, and conversions
• Coordinate promotions, giveaways, and seasonal campaigns on Instagram dependent on Fraternity/Sorority crossing and Graduation semester timeline
• Stay current on Instagram trends, features, and algorithm updates
• Work with the design team to develop creative assets
• Manage the content calendar to ensure consistent and timely posting
• Maintain an organized library of photos, videos, and creative assets
• Ensure all content complies with Affinity Greek Licensing requirements

What We’re Looking For

• No experience necessary; we will train the right candidate.
• Familiarity with Instagram and a good eye for what makes content engaging.
• Basic photo and video editing skills (phone-based editing apps are fine).
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
