Social Media Manager

Our client is a Cyprus-based iGaming company, who are currently strengthening their Marketing function, including their Social Media team, with this hire. In this role, you will shape how they show up, grow engaged communities from scratch, and own the social media channel strategy end to end.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the organic social strategy for our priority emerging markets of all of their brands
• Build, grow, and nurture our communities on the platforms that matter in each market, such as Telegram, X, Instagram, YouTube, and local community channels
• Plan and run a content calendar covering original content, match-day and event-led posts, promotions and product updates, community conversations, partnerships, and trend-led posts
• Develop a deep understanding of local culture and behaviour of users, and adapt tone and content accordingly rather than simply translating
• Moderate and engage with communities, building trust; handle complaints coming through social media channels professionally
• Own social media analytics, from KPI setting and reporting to analysis of how content, formats, and channels drive audience growth, engagement, and player interest
• Work with Product and Legal teams to keep content on-brand and within the relevant guidelines. Brief and manage freelancers, agencies, streamers, and creators where needed, and help shape how the function is structured as it grows
• Collaborate closely with Marketing: share audience insights, align messaging and campaign timing, and feed results from organic content into the wider acquisition and retention strategy.

Requirements

Essentials:

• 5+ years of experience in social media with a proven track record of growing audiences organically
• Hands-on experience using AI tools to create content and speed up social media workflows, from ideation and visuals to localisation, reporting, and automation
• Comfortable working in regulated or sensitive industries (iGaming, betting, fintech, crypto, or similar) and awareness of platform and advertising restrictions
• Experience leading a channel or function with ownership of strategy, not just execution
• Excellent written and spoken communication, fluent English, and sound editorial judgement
• The ability to come up with fresh content ideas and formats that stand out in crowded, fast-moving social spaces
• Analytical mindset, with the ability to turn data into decisions
• Having a collaborative approach to working with other teams, such as Affiliate and Performance Marketing, towards shared goals
• Right to work in Cyprus
