- Be more than a content creator – be a storyteller, strategist and connector
Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi – About the Role
As our Social Media Partner, you'll help bring our brand to life online through content that informs, inspires and engages current and future learners.
This is more than a content creation role. You'll be a storyteller, community builder and digital marketer, creating content that showcases the people, programmes and opportunities that make Ara unique.
Working across a range of social media platforms, you'll grow our online presence, strengthen engagement with our audiences, and help position Ara as a first-choice education provider for learners in Aotearoa and beyond.
If you're naturally curious, love spotting a story, and know how to turn ideas into content that people genuinely want to engage with, we'd love to hear from you.
Ngā Pūkenga Me Ngā Wheako – Skills and Experience
We're looking for someone who understands how to create content that connects with people and can use social media to tell compelling stories, build engagement, and support Ara's growth and reputation.
To be successful, you'll bring:
- A degree in marketing or a related field, or equivalent knowledge and experience gained through experience.
- Proven experience managing social media channels and creating engaging content that builds audience connection and supports organisational goals.
- Strong storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to tailor content for different audiences and platforms.
- A solid understanding of digital marketing and how social media contributes to brand awareness, engagement, lead generation and learner recruitment.
- A keen eye for detail and excellent writing skills, with a commitment to producing polished, accurate and professional content.
- Experience planning and delivering campaigns, projects or initiatives, while managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- The ability to analyse performance data, identify insights and adapt content and social media strategies to improve results.
- A collaborative approach and confidence building positive working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and external partners.
- Curiosity, creativity and a willingness to keep learning, staying up to date with social media trends, emerging platforms and industry best practice.
It would be an advantage if you also have experience creating and editing short-form video content for social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.
