What you'll be doing?

• Create engaging content: Develop innovative content tailored to different social media platforms and audience needs.
• Guide creative direction: Coordinate with the Creative Department on the visual direction of promotional materials and digital assets.
• Shape content strategy: Conduct competitive research, benchmark performance and identify target audiences to inform effective content strategies.
• Plan editorial activity: Build editorial calendars and syndication plans to keep content consistent, timely and aligned with campaign goals.
• Spot growth opportunities: Research industry trends and identify creative opportunities to support brand growth.
• Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with the Social Brand Manager and Digital Marketing team to align strategy and execution with client goals.
• Optimise campaign performance: Use analytics tools to track results, extract insights and make data-driven adjustments that improve engagement.
• Refine audience targeting: Analyse audience behaviours, preferences and habits to strengthen campaign targeting.
• Support reporting and operations: Maintain account records, prepare periodic reports and contribute to team operations and ad hoc duties as needed.

Who are they looking for?

• Relevant qualification: A degree in Marketing, Communication Studies, Journalism, Creative Writing or a related field is preferred for the role.
• Relevant experience: At least 2–3 years of experience as a Social Media Executive or Specialist in a similar role will support success in this position.
• Agency background: At least 2–3 years of agency experience will help the successful candidate thrive in the fast-paced environment.
• Platform expertise: Expert knowledge of leading social media platforms and their algorithms is important for creating effective content.
• Hootsuite capability: A firm grasp of Hootsuite and its integrations will support efficient planning and publishing.
• Paid advertising knowledge: A strong understanding of creating and distributing paid advertisements will support campaign execution.
• Persuasive copywriting: The ability to create authoritative, persuasive copy in a flexible and engaging style will help content connect with audiences.
• Performance mindset: Strong knowledge of relevant engagement metrics and an appreciation for novel insights and ideas will support continuous improvement.
• Language proficiency: Proficiency in Mandarin, English and Malay across spoken, reading and written communication is required for liaising with clients and stakeholders in those languages.
