Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach Social Sciences in our Nursing Program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Dean of Education. The primary responsibility will be to teach Social Sciences courses. The typical teaching load is two courses each term, with one or two preparations. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, and participate in department training, meetings and graduation.

Requirements

• A Master degree in sociology or a related discipline, with at least 15-18 postgraduate credit hours completed in the subject area being taught
• At least 3 years of experience in the field
• Prior postsecondary education teaching experience is preferred but not required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with various instructional technologies, or the ability to quickly adapt to and learn technology, such as Canvas, CampusVue, etc
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Team player who demonstrates initiative, dependability, and reliability.

Pay: Up to $37.00 per hour
