Duties

• Assess the needs of children and families, developing tailored intervention plans to promote safety, stability, and well-being
• Provide crisis intervention and crisis management support during emergencies or high-stress situations
• Coordinate with child protective services to ensure the safety of vulnerable children and facilitate necessary protective actions
• Offer counseling and support to clients dealing with family law issues, disabilities, or high-risk circumstances
• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, service plans, and case progress using Microsoft Office tools
• Engage with culturally diverse communities to deliver respectful and effective social services that honor individual backgrounds
• Conduct client communication through active listening, clear writing skills, and empathetic engagement to foster trust and cooperation

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in social work, child welfare, or family services settings is highly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-risk populations with sensitivity and professionalism
• Proficiency in crisis management techniques including first aid and CPR certification is essential
• Strong communication skills paired with bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse populations effectively
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in social services roles supporting vulnerable groups is advantageous
• Familiarity with child protective services procedures, family law, conflict management, and childcare practices is desirable
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications for documentation, reporting, and case management tasks

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
