Summary Provides clinical social work services for and in partnership with patients, families, and significant others. These include social work assessments, counseling, goal setting, advocacy, concrete service provision and implementation of care plans. Makes referrals to outside agencies and assists in coordination of continuity of care. Works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes. Social worker shall be highly knowledgeable about the psychosocial impact of disease on individuals and families as it relates to their age and stage of development. Social Worker will seek mentorship as needed for professional growth and development. The Social Worker represents and supports the mission, philosophy and goals of the Cancer Center.

Minimum Required Credentials

• Master's degree in social work (MSW) from a CSWE approved school
• Eligibility for future licensure in the State of FL as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker is required.
• Must have one of the following in active status: *Provisional FL license or Registered Clinical SW Intern

Training Required

• Competencies: Social worker must have clear written and verbal communication skills and basic competence in various computer applications. Annually demonstrates competencies per departmental checklist for position.

• Anticipate and coordinate safe and timely discharges
• Collaborate effectively with medical team and Cancer Center personnel
• Provide comprehensive information and referral services
• Offer educational in-services, presentations and programs

• Demonstrates adherence to departmental mandates

Salary Range $30.47 - $46.49

Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
