Sod Installation Foreman

Pay:$22–$25/hr, based on experience

**Schedule:**Early morning starts; typically, 50–60 hrs./week during peak season

We're looking for a motivated Installation Foreman to lead field crews and deliver high-quality turf grass (sod) installation projects safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives outdoors, leads by example, tows and operates equipment confidently, and takes pride in getting the job done right.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Lead, supervise, and support daily activities of installation crew members
• Plan and execute turf grass (sod) installation assignments to meet productivity and quality standards
• Ensure crews follow all safety procedures and company expectations
• Communicate clearly with crew members and management
• Monitor job progress and address issues in real time
• Train and develop crew members on proper installation techniques
• Safely tow, haul, and maneuver trailers (open, enclosed, and gooseneck) between job sites
• Maintain equipment, tools, and job site organization
• Represent the company professionally on job sites

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of leadership experience in a Foreman, Crew Lead, or Supervisor role
• 2+ years of landscaping, sod installation, or related field experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience safely towing trailers, including gooseneck (preferred)
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
• Experience operating landscaping equipment is a plus

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50–75 pounds regularly
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and working on uneven terrain
• Outdoor work in heat, humidity, and varying weather conditions
• Comfortable with early morning start times and extended hours during peak season
