What they need

The Southern Oregon Education Service District is seeking highly professional and experienced occupational therapists to deliver school-based services to students in schools in Klamath Falls. The therapists will provide consultation and training to school staff, evaluation of student eligibility, progress, and needs, recommendation and adjustment of equipment, input toward IEP development, and occupational therapy treatments typically provided to students with motor impairments.

The occupational therapists will become part of the SOESD's OI (Orthopedic Impairment) team – a team of OTs and PTs that serve schools and students across Southern Oregon. The team works collaboratively to develop curriculum and programs that enhance the learning experience and opportunities of students who experience disabilities. Often, a PT and OT will partner to provide comprehensive orthopedic services to individuals or groups of students. Members of the SOESD OI team are provided regular training and support, which results in knowledgeable, competent therapists who are valued and appreciated by school staff, parents, and the community.

The position is in Klamath Falls. The area abounds with culture, ideal weather, outdoor recreation, and a high quality of living in a vibrant community. If you are passionate about providing school-based occupational therapy services, are a collaborative team player, and are looking for a wonderful place to live, this may be your dream job!

About SOESD Southern Oregon ESD has locations in the Rogue Valley and Klamath County.
