SOFC Electrical Design Engineer

Job description:

We are looking for a key account sales specialist in Weifang (working remotely is also accepted) responsible for the overall power planning of SOFC distributed power generation and power station projects, as well as top-level electrical architecture design of the stations and products.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

1. Responsible for the overall power planning of SOFC distributed power generation and power station projects, including capacity configuration, grid connection scheme, load analysis, and power supply & distribution system planning.

2. Responsible for the top-level electrical architecture design of SOFC power stations and power generation products, including main circuit topology, power distribution system, protection system, grounding system, communication and energy management interface design.

3. Conduct professional power system analysis, including power flow calculation, short-circuit calculation, stability analysis, harmonic and power quality analysis, relay protection setting, EMC/EMI design and verification.

4. Collaboration with thermal, control, structure and process teams to complete system integration, and solve key technical problems of stack-power electronics-grid coupling.

5. Track cutting-edge technologies, participate in technical research, patent layout, standard formulation and project scheme review, supporting the delivery of large-scale SOFC power station projects.

Qualifications & Experiences:

1. Proficient in power station planning, electrical architecture design and whole-process development of electrical system integration.

2. Skilled in power system analysis, mastering power flow, short-circuit, stability, power quality and relay protection calculation methods.

3. Proficient in power system analysis software such as ETAP/DIgSILENT/PSASP.

4. Familiar with grid connection codes, high-voltage power supply & distribution, electrical safety, EMC and relevatn domestic and international fuel cell/power generation standards.

5. Ability to independently undertake top-level electrical design of major projects, excellent cross-departmental collaboration, problem-solving and project promition capabilities.

6. Over 8 years of experience in development of SOFC power generation systems, large-scale hydrogen power stations, microgrid grid-connected/off-grid systems is preferred. and energy industry, with expertise in diverse business models and commercial operations mechanisms of energy markets; prior experience as a Sales Director or equivalent role in multinational corporations is preferred.

7. Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) as a working language; ability to lead business negotiations, technical discussions, and professional documentation in English.
