Software Architect (Full Stack, AWS) - Sydney

Our client is a leading digital innovator that designs and builds its own products in house. This is not a consultancy. You join a permanent product team and own real engineering outcomes.
The role
We are looking for a genuinely hands-on Software Architect who is comfortable across the full stack. You set technical direction and still write code every week, working across both front end and back end. The role spans senior architect through to principal level, so the scope grows with what you can take on.
What you will do

• Architect and build features end to end, across front end and back end.
• Design scalable, secure solutions on AWS and take them to production.
• Lead technical design sessions and lift the quality bar through code reviews.
• Mentor engineers and shape how the team builds.

What you will bring

• Strong hands-on experience across front end and back end development.
• Deep AWS experience. This is required, not a nice to have.
• A track record of shipping and scaling real products.
• The judgement to make architecture calls and the humility to stay close to the code.

Location
Sydney based, permanent, with hybrid flexibility.
