Software Architect (Go / Java)

Newroz Technologies Ltd. is looking for an experienced, hands-on Software Architect with strong expertise in either Java or Go and practical proficiency in the other.

The ideal candidate will lead architectural decisions, guide engineering teams, and build scalable, secure, high-performance backend systems. We are looking for a technology leader who combines strong software engineering fundamentals, cloud architecture expertise, and practical experience with AI-assisted development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.
• Lead engineering teams, mentor developers, and drive technical decisions.
• Design appropriate software architectures, including Modular Monolith, Microservices, and Event-Driven Systems.
• Build cloud-native solutions using AWS/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Establish engineering standards for code quality, security, testing, performance, and maintainability.
• Design reliable distributed systems using caching, messaging, retries, and fault-tolerance patterns.
• Implement observability and monitoring solutions using OpenTelemetry and related technologies.
• Drive AI-assisted development across coding, testing, code reviews, and documentation.
• Review and validate AI-generated code, ensuring security, reliability, and production readiness.
• Collaborate with Backend, DevOps, QA, Product, Security, and Mobile Engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

• 8–10 years of professional software engineering experience, including backend development and architectural responsibilities.
• Strong expertise in Java or Go , with practical proficiency in the other.
• Experience with Spring Boot and/or production-grade Go development.
• Strong knowledge of System Design, Microservices, Distributed Systems, REST APIs, SOLID principles, and Clean Architecture.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis, and Kafka/RabbitMQ/SQS or equivalent technologies.
• Practical experience with AWS and/or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform/OpenTofu, and CI/CD.
• Understanding of Linux, application security, authentication, authorization, and secure cloud architecture.
• Experience with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, OpenObserve, Grafana, Loki, or Tempo.
• Proficiency in AI coding assistants and development agents such as Claude Code, Codex, or equivalent tools.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Travel Technology, Fintech, SaaS, Payments, eCommerce, or enterprise platforms.
• Understanding of travel technology, including booking platforms, reservations, ticketing, and supplier integrations.
• Strong working experience across both Java and Go ecosystems.
• Experience with serverless architecture, platform engineering, and cloud infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools.
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL workflows, and mobile-backend integrations.
• Knowledge of secure AI adoption, data privacy, and responsible AI-assisted engineering practices.
