Software Business Analyst

Position: Software Business Analyst

Compensation: $ 45 - 53 /hour, depending on experience

Location: Kansas City, Missouri

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Software Business Analyst to join their team!

This is a strong contract opportunity for a detail-oriented Business Analyst who enjoys working closely with stakeholders and technical teams. You’ll help drive meaningful work by shaping requirements, supporting Agile delivery, and keeping projects moving forward in a collaborative onsite environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Partner with stakeholders and technical teams to align business needs
• Gather, document, and refine user and technical requirements
• Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria
• Prioritize backlog items based on dependencies and roadmap needs
• Facilitate standups, refinement, planning, and retrospectives
• Track velocity and share project updates with stakeholders
• Support testing, training, and implementation efforts
• Help resolve issues through critical thinking and problem-solving

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or related field
• 4+ years of technical business analysis experience
• Strong understanding of Agile methodology and practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience facilitating meetings and stakeholder workshops
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Comfort working with technical terminology
• Legal authorization to work without sponsorship

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Project management experience
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Familiarity with other Agile software tools
• Experience coordinating cross-functional project work
