Software Developer — Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Software Developer to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software applications. The successful candidate will work closely with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other developers to build reliable, scalable, and user-friendly solutions that meet business requirements.

The ideal candidate has strong programming skills, a problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications based on business and technical requirements.

• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.

• Analyze existing systems and recommend improvements, enhancements, and optimizations.

• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, designers, QA engineers, and other developers throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Develop and integrate APIs, databases, third-party services, and other software components.

• Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and code reviews to ensure software quality.

• Identify and resolve software defects, performance issues, and technical problems.

• Participate in system design and architecture discussions.

• Ensure applications meet security, performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.

• Maintain technical documentation, development standards, and coding guidelines.

• Deploy applications and support software releases in development, testing, staging, and production environments.

• Monitor application performance and assist with production support and incident resolution.

• Stay updated with emerging technologies, programming languages, frameworks, and software development best practices.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience in software development using one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, or similar.

• Strong understanding of software development principles, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.

• Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases.

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and software integration concepts.

• Understanding of software testing and debugging practices.

• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a development team.
