Software Developer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Senior Software Developer with 3–5 years of experience to join our growing technology team. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing software solutions that support mission-critical business operations—from POS and retail management systems to reporting and integration tools. The ideal candidate has a strong background in developing and enhancing enterprise-level applications, modernizing legacy systems, and working with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise software solutions including POS, Merchandise Management Systems, Customer Loyalty Programs, Reporting Systems, and background/integration tools.
• Implement clean, maintainable, and high-performing code using C# (MVC/WinForms), VB6, VB.NET, SQL, and RESTful APIs.
• Modernize legacy VB6 modules by rewriting and optimizing them in C#, improving performance, maintainability, and long-term supportability.
• Build and maintain system integrations using RESTful APIs and AWS S3 via Chilkat components.
• Create and maintain Crystal Reports and other reporting modules to support business requirements.
• Implement ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, stability, and consistency across systems.
• Interpret Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) to convert business requirements into accurate system functionalities.
• Manage full-cycle development tasks including coding, testing, debugging, documentation, deployment, and client coordination.
• Manage multiple projects and client accounts simultaneously while maintaining timelines and quality standards.
• Actively participate in Agile processes including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on development experience in enterprise software projects.
• Strong understanding of OOP, software design principles, and modern development practices.
• Experience modernizing or maintaining legacy systems is a strong advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines.
• Team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
