Software Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Academic: Tertiary degree degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Robotics Engineering or related discipline
• Backend & API Architecture: Develop, and maintain API servers and backend services using Python and Django.
• Hardware Integration: Write reliable camera control programs and interface with edge devices utilizing vendor Camera SDKs.
• AI/ML Pipeline Management: Participate in the data engineering efforts for object detection models, including dataset collection, precise tagging/annotation, model training, performance optimization, and production deployment.
• Infrastructure & Networking: Learn and troubleshoot networking configurations to ensure stable, secure connectivity between servers, edge devices, and IP cameras.
• DevOps & Deployment: Containerize applications using Docker and Docker Compose for consistent deployment across local, edge, and cloud Linux environments.
• Quality & Practice: Ensure software quality, scalability, and security. Review code, establish CI/CD automation workflows

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: 1 – 2 years of working experience in backend system development.
• Core Tech Stack: Proficiency in Python, Javascript and the Django framework.
• Hardware & Networking: Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, network programming for device communication).
• OS & DevOps: Hands-on experience with containerization via Docker and Docker Compose.
• Computer Vision / AI: Understanding of the MLOps lifecycle—specifically collecting data, utilizing tagging tools, training object detection models (e.g., YOLO, PyTorch, or TensorFlow), and deploying them to production.
• Soft Skills: Good problem-solving skills, a proactive "get-hands-dirty" mindset, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Language: Good in written and spoken English; proficiency in Chinese is highly preferred.

Bonus Points (Nice-to-Have)

• Front-end knowledge with modern stacks: ReactJS, Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
