Software Developer

A leading financial services organisation offering a collaborative environment where technology plays a key role in supporting its clients and business.

We’re looking for a Software Developer to join a small, collaborative team working across software development, application support, cloud and modern data integration.

What you’ll be doing

• Develop, test and support applications using C#, .NET, SQL and Entity Framework.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and data integrations.
• Work with Kafka, Event Hubs, ADF, dbt and cloud technologies.
• Support existing applications, monitor production environments and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Work closely with the team to deliver quality, maintainable solutions.

What you’ll bring

• Strong C# / .NET development experience.
• Experience with SQL Server, Entity Framework and REST APIs.
• Understanding of SOLID principles and good software design.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD.
• Cloud experience across Azure and/or AWS.
• A collaborative, adaptable and hands-on approach.

What we’re looking for

• Strong communication skills — you’ll need to be confident working collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders.
• Financial markets experience — previous experience working within financial markets is essential.
• Auckland-based — you must be currently based in Auckland.
• NZ work rights — you must have the right to work in New Zealand.

Nice to have: Docker, Kubernetes, TypeScript, Clojure, Auth0, Entra ID, S3, Lambda or test automation.
