Founded in 2018, Marti is Türkiye’s leading mobility app, offering multiple transportation services to its riders. Marti operates a ride-hailing service that matches riders with car, motorcycle, and taxi drivers, and operates a large fleet of rental e-mopeds, e-bikes, and e-scooters. All of Marti’s offerings are serviced by proprietary software systems and IoT infrastructure.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js , NestJS , and TypeScript .
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs .
• Experience building and maintaining microservices in production environments .
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational database design.
• Experience designing and working with Redis for caching, distributed locking, or similar use cases.
• Experience with message-based systems such as Kafka , RabbitMQ , or similar.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests .
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using Git in a collaborative development environment.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and production-ready code.
• Experience working in Agile teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js , NestJS , and TypeScript .
• Build reliable and maintainable REST APIs and asynchronous services.
• Design, build, and enhance production-grade microservices.
• Take ownership of development tasks from implementation through delivery.
• Independently own and deliver development tasks with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
• Work confidently within an existing production codebase, understanding, extending, and improving existing systems rather than building everything from scratch.
• Write automated tests to ensure the reliability and maintainability of your code.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality features.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions, while continuously improving engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Proactively communicate progress, identify risks, and raise blockers early.
• Contribute to the evolution of our backend architecture and engineering best practices.
• Stay up to date with modern backend technologies and software engineering practices.
