Job Summary

We are looking for a technically skilled and detail-oriented Software Support Personnel (SSP) to support application development, software maintenance, troubleshooting, and implementation. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining REST APIs, implementing secure authentication and authorization mechanisms, integrating payment gateways, and ensuring the reliability and security of application systems.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of backend development using Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB, along with practical knowledge of application installation, maintenance, database management, and implementation support.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot REST APIs using Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, and Mongoose.
• Implement secure user registration, login, logout, and forgot/reset password functionalities.
• Apply password hashing using bcrypt, secure token management, JWT-based authentication, and session security.
• Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) using roles, permissions, and authorization middleware.
• Develop secure authentication and authorization middleware to protect application routes and resources.
• Integrate and configure payment gateways such as Razorpay or Stripe, including order creation, payment verification, webhook handling, and transaction record management.
• Implement secure payment processing, webhook signature verification, idempotency, and appropriate handling of failed or pending transactions.
• Perform application software installation, configuration, maintenance, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Provide implementation support, investigate technical issues, and ensure the smooth functioning of applications and database systems.
• Write unit and integration tests for developed features and maintain clear technical documentation.
• Follow secure coding practices and ensure the confidentiality and integrity of application data.
• Support database operations, query optimization, and application performance improvement.

Required Technical Skills

1. Backend Development

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with Express.js and REST API development.
• Practical knowledge of MongoDB and Mongoose.
• Understanding of API validation, error handling, and HTTP status codes.

2. Authentication and Security

• Knowledge of bcrypt password hashing, salts, and cost factors.
• Understanding of JWT structure, signing, expiry, and standard claims.
• Knowledge of access tokens, refresh tokens, and secure cookie configuration.
• Ability to implement secure sign-up, login, logout, and password-reset workflows.
• Understanding of secure token storage, token expiry, and session invalidation.

3. Authorization and Access Control

• Understanding of authentication versus authorization.
• Practical knowledge of RBAC, roles, permissions, and protected routes.
• Ability to implement authentication and role-based authorization middleware.
• Knowledge of HTTP 401 and 403 responses and secure handling of user roles and identities.

4. Payment Gateway Integration

• Practical knowledge of integrating Razorpay or Stripe.
• Understanding of test and live environments, API keys, and secret management.
• Ability to implement server-side order creation and payment verification.
• Knowledge of webhook signature verification, idempotency, retries, and payment reconciliation.
• Ability to maintain payment records and handle successful, failed, and pending transactions.

5. Testing and Documentation

• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot application issues.
• Ability to document APIs, authentication flows, payment processes, and implementation steps.
• Ability to explain the code developed and the security decisions behind its implementation.

Minimum Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess any one of the following qualifications from a recognized university or institution:

• PGDCA
• B.Sc. in Computer Science
• Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
• DOEACC 'A' Level course of three years' duration
• An equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline

Candidates with relevant technical qualifications and demonstrable practical software development skills will be preferred.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Knowledge

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, jQuery, PHP, and PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of application software installation, maintenance, and database management systems.
• Familiarity with software implementation support and technical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of secure application development and database operations.
• Hands-on project experience demonstrating backend development and payment gateway integration.
