U.S. Installation Group (USIG) is a national flooring installation company supporting operations across 36 offices in 11 states. Through Metro Renovations, we also provide kitchen and bathroom remodeling services. Behind every installation is software our team builds.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Software Developer to join our headquarters team in Boca Raton, Florida. You will work as part of a small development team to build, maintain, and improve the applications that support our business operations.

This role combines development of new features, troubleshooting, database work, and integrations with external systems. You will work across existing applications and Azure-hosted services while contributing to modernization projects.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative, asks thoughtful questions, and can turn business needs into practical software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

● Application Development: Develop, test, and support web applications, cloud services, and APIs using C#, ASP.NET 4.0+ (Web Forms), Microsoft Azure, and modern .NET tools.

● Database Optimization: Maintain and optimize relational databases in SQL Server, including writing and troubleshooting T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and ad-hoc scripts.

● API Integration: Build and maintain integrations with internal and external systems using REST, HTTP, and SOAP APIs utilizing XML and JSON data formats.

● API Testing & Debugging: Test and debug RESTful APIs, webhooks, and integrations using Postman or similar tools. Investigate failures, identify root causes, and implement reliable fixes.

● Version Control & Collaboration: Maintain source code, track tasks, and collaborate using Azure DevOps.

● Legacy System Support: Assist in refactoring and supporting legacy functionality, including Classic ASP, ASP.NET Web Forms, Windows Services, WCF.

● Business Requirements: Work with business stakeholders to clarify requirements, understand existing processes, and assess how application changes affect daily operations.

● Quality & Documentation: Review and test changes before release, document important functionality and technical decisions, and identify opportunities to improve application reliability, maintainability, security, and performance.

● AI Tools: Use company-approved AI tools to support development, refactoring, debugging, and problem-solving. Review and validate generated code before use.

Required Qualifications

● Experience Level: At least 4 years of web development experience using C#, .NET Framework, and Visual Studio.

● Core Frameworks: Experience with ASP.NET 4.0+, ASP.NET Web Forms, WCF Services, Web API, and Windows Services.

● API Testing & Debugging: Proficiency in testing, debugging, and inspecting RESTful web services and API endpoints using Postman or similar tools.

● Database Management: Proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL development, including writing and debugging stored procedures and ad-hoc queries, and profiling with SQL Server Profiler.

● Web & APIs: Knowledge of RESTful/HTTP services, SOAP, JSON, XML, HTML5, JavaScript, and jQuery.

● Problem-Solving: Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate unfamiliar code and understand existing application behavior.

● Initiative & Prioritization: Self-motivated and forward-thinking, with the ability to work independently, identify missing information, ask useful questions, and prioritize daily tasks in a fast-paced environment.

● Communication & Teamwork: Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and nontechnical teams. Comfortable working in a small team with close collaboration and direct impact.

● Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer. We are unable to sponsor employment visas for this role.

Preferred Qualifications

● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

● Classic ASP: Familiarity with maintaining and troubleshooting Classic ASP applications.

● Modern .NET: Experience with modern .NET development and application modernization.

● AI Development Tools: Experience incorporating AI tools, such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot, into development workflows.

● Cloud & Azure: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, such as Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Storage Accounts, and Log Analytics. Strong familiarity with Azure configuration and cloud troubleshooting.

● Deployment Automation: Experience with Azure DevOps deployment pipelines and automated build and release processes.

● DevOps & Version Control: Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and Visual Studio for source control, work tracking, and team collaboration.
