Software Developer

Sikka Software is seeking a Software Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications that support business operations and customer needs. The ideal candidate has strong programming skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to collaborate with a technical team to build reliable, secure, and scalable software solutions.

In this role, you will contribute to application development, improve existing systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and help deliver high-quality software that meets functional and performance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications based on project requirements.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver new features.
• Test and debug software to identify and resolve defects.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications and services.
• Integrate software with databases, APIs, and third-party platforms.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve application performance, reliability, and usability.
• Document technical specifications, code changes, and development processes.
• Support software releases, updates, and deployment activities.

Requirements

• Experience in software development or a related technical role.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Familiarity with databases, SQL, and API integration.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Knowledge of software testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing web-based or business software applications.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and application deployment.
• Understanding of automated testing and continuous integration.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and software performance optimization.
