Software Developer IV

The IT Department is seeking a motivated Software Developer who Developer who will be based out of a Missouri office. This position will be part of an agile team working on a project backlog for reporting, custom applications and JDE EnterpriseOne customizations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for technical analysis, design, development, and unit testing for external and internal website projects.

• Development using Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, HTML, JavaScript, ASP.Net, C#, Microsoft SQL Server, and WordPress.

• Champion application development standards and change control process.

• Work with vendors as necessary to complete projects.

• Role requires a service-oriented mentality, high sense of ownership of the problems and service requests assigned through the Service Desk ticketing system.

• Develop strategic solutions to recurring problems.

• Create configuration and technical system documentation.

• Customize and enhance third party platforms and applications.

• Cross train team members and mentor co-ops as needed.

• Effectively communicate with Agile teams, IT Department, Business, and Management.

• Perform installations and upgrades, provide support, and troubleshoot system issues during office hours and after hours as required by the business.

• Perform System Administration for web servers, application hosts, and cloud environments.

• Has extensive experience in solving problems of varying complexities.

• Has the ability to experiment and test solutions for problems, validate assumptions for them, and the ability to associate one idea to another to reach a solution.

• Has the trait to consistently improve the quality and structure of previously written code.

• Mentors the junior and mid-level developers of the team, and can designate tasks to team members in a balanced and effective manner.

• Comprehends the full scope of a project and make the best suggestions and methods to develop, test, implement, and maintain a project.

• Performs regular reviews on code done by less experienced developers and offers feedback and suggestions.

• Independently solves various problems and rectifies complicated problems through the application of design patterns.

• Fully design and manage databases using syntax to expedite results and convert data across incompatible interfaces.

• Manages several tasks simultaneously and pays attention to changes in priority within the organization.

• Creates and writes complicated tests.

• Demonstrates detailed and comprehensive knowledge of his or her area, and is recognized as an expert by people across the organization.

• The Software Developer is an office-based role. Regular, predictable on-site attendance is required. Eligibility for up to one (1) remote workday per week may be permitted, subject to business needs and departmental guidelines.

• Perform core job responsibilities through regular in-person collaboration, including participation in meetings, team discussions, and cross-functional coordination.

• Collaborate with fellow team members and leadership in a shared work environment to support innovation and timely decision-making, problem-solving, and operational effectiveness.

• Maintain a consistent on-site presence to support and respond to day-to-day business needs, including attendance of scheduled meetings and real-time collaboration as needed to ensure alignment on department and company priorities.

• Meet regularly with manager in-person to align on workload, priorities, performance, and ongoing professional development.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; OR equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience required.

• Ten or more years of related experience required.

• JD Edwards EnterpriseOne development is a plus.

• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office 365 applications.

• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, and hosting with IIS.

• Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Team-oriented with experience working within a collaborative environment.

• Experience and/or training with relational database required.

• Strong software development and Microsoft SQL database skills required.

• Microsoft SQL Server Report Services and Integration Services experience preferred.

• WordPress experience is a plus.

• Familiar with the structure and operation of Microsoft Windows Server, especially development components such as IIS and Windows Services.

• Advanced knowledge of Internet protocols, web hosting and SSL Certificates.

• Experience with manufacturing systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, customer relationship management (CRM), or e-commerce is a plus.

• Responsive web design (RWD) is preferred.
