Job Title: Java Backend Developer

We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. You will design, build, and maintain scalable server-side applications and services that power our core platforms. This role requires a strong foundation in Java, a passion for reliable software, and the ability to collaborate closely with front-end developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers.

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust Java-based backend services and microservices.
• Implement RESTful APIs and integrate with databases, message queues, and third-party services.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with emphasis on performance and scalability.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and design patterns adoption.
• Ensure security, reliability, and observability through proper logging, monitoring, and alerting.
• Collaborate with QA engineers to define test strategies and ensure high-quality releases.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code practices in a cloud environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, with solid knowledge of Java 8+ features and best practices.
• Experience with backend frameworks (Spring Boot, Micronaut, or similar).
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, ORM frameworks, and SQL optimization.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, and knowledge of API security (OAuth2, JWT).
• Understanding of asynchronous programming, messaging queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
