Software Developer (Java)

About the Role

We are looking for a Java Developer to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of internal business systems. The role will work closely with business and technical teams on system development, troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support the functional development, enhancement, and daily technical maintenance of business systems.
2. Develop clean, structured, and maintainable code based on business requirements and technical design.
3. Work closely with business analysts and other team members to deliver project requirements on time.
4. Assist in troubleshooting system issues and provide effective fixes and technical solutions.
5. Support system monitoring, performance analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
6. Participate in module design, development, testing, and technical documentation.
7. Support system optimization to improve stability, performance, and user experience.

Requirements

1. Diploma / Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. Around 2–4 years of Java development experience. Candidates with strong technical fundamentals and slightly less experience may also be considered.
3. Good knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
4. Familiar with Spring Boot and MyBatis or similar Java frameworks.
5. Familiar with Git or other source code management tools.
6. Basic to intermediate knowledge of Oracle Database and SQL; experience with stored procedures is an advantage.
7. Familiarity with Redis, RabbitMQ, or other middleware technologies is preferred.
8. Able to handle development and testing tasks independently with guidance from senior team members when required.
9. Basic knowledge of Linux; exposure to Docker or Kubernetes (K8s) will be an added advantage.
10. Familiar with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic front-end development.
11. Experience with Vue.js, Vue Router, Vuex, or Node.js is preferred.
12. Experience with the RuoYi open-source framework will be an added advantage.
13. Good coding habits, learning ability, communication skills, and teamwork mindset.
