About the Role

Are you a seasoned Developer who enjoys both the strategy of leadership and staying close to the code? Head a team of 5 in-house developers dedicated to continuous improvement. Do you enjoy mentoring developers? Driving best practices and delivering innovative solutions that support both operational excellence and strategic business growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead & Mentor: Head a team of 5 skilled developers, fostering a collaborative environment and identifying opportunities for their professional growth.
• Enforce Standards: Establish and lead best practices in Web and Application development, ensuring the team maintains excellent coding standards across the full development cycle.
• Technical Delivery: Manage timelines from concept through to application launch, working closely with the Applications Manager and ICT Project Manager to prioritize strategic initiatives.
• Hybrid Approach: Navigate a diverse workload involving Agile/ Waterfall and Squads for projects Business-As-Usual (BAU) tasks.
• Technical Quality: Ensure the reliability, performance and security of applications while driving innovation to meet evolving business needs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in web and application development.
• 5+ years' experience leading and mentoring development teams.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with the Microsoft technology stack, including:
• C#, .NET Framework and .NET Core
• ASP.NET web applications
• Windows Forms applications
• RESTful APIs
• React experience
• Strong JavaScript, jQuery, CSS/SASS, Bootstrap, and responsive web development skills.
• Solid SQL Server and database development experience.
• Strong understanding of application security principles, particularly within eCommerce environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps and/or Microsoft App Center.
• .NET MAUI mobile application development.
• Experience with Next.js, Storyblok, and Vercel.
• Knowledge of legacy technologies including Visual Basic 6 or Microsoft Access.
• Experience integrating enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and other business applications.
