Software Developer / Senior Software Developer (Full-Stack)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Full-Stack Software Developer to join our team and take ownership of developing and maintaining software solutions.

You will be responsible for turning defined business requirements and ideas into functional, reliable and maintainable software, covering development, database, deployment, hosting, maintenance and continuous improvement.

The role requires someone who is hands-on, technically capable and comfortable taking ownership across different areas of software development.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance software applications based on defined business requirements.
• Design application architecture, system workflows and database structures.
• Develop frontend, backend, APIs and system integrations.
• Design and manage relational databases, including SQL queries and data integrity.
• Handle software deployment, hosting and production environments.
• Manage servers, Linux environments, domains, DNS, SSL and related infrastructure where required.
• Implement authentication, authorisation, user roles and access controls.
• Perform testing, debugging, troubleshooting and performance optimisation.
• Investigate production issues and implement appropriate long-term solutions.
• Manage source code and version control using Git.
• Implement appropriate backup, monitoring and recovery processes.
• Maintain technical documentation and system configurations.
• Work with internal users to clarify requirements, resolve issues and improve existing processes.
• Research and adopt suitable technologies, automation and AI solutions where applicable.
• Take ownership of software projects from development through deployment and ongoing maintenance.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• 3+ years of practical software development experience preferred. Strong candidates with less experience may also be considered.
• Strong full-stack development fundamentals and experience building production software.
• Proficiency in PHP/Laravel, React/JavaScript and PostgreSQL/MySQL, or equivalent technologies.
• Good understanding of OOP, relational databases, API development and application architecture.
• Experience with Git and software development workflows.
• Practical experience with software deployment and production environments.
• Good working knowledge of Linux, servers, databases, DNS and SSL.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD and cloud infrastructure is an advantage.
• Experience with third-party API and system integrations is an advantage.
• Knowledge of application security, authentication, access control and data protection.
• Exposure to AI tools, LLM APIs or automation is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work independently, learn new technologies and take ownership of assigned projects.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
