About the role

The Software Developer (SME) is the recognized authority on enterprise application design and A/V system integration for the FBI program. You'll provide strategic guidance, technical leadership, and oversight on the most complex development projects, and you'll work closely with senior FBI stakeholders and Blackwatch engineering teams.

What you'll do

• Lead technical and management efforts for enterprise-wide software initiatives.
• Define software architecture, integration standards, and security compliance strategies within a zero-trust framework.
• Advise senior FBI stakeholders on software capabilities, risks, and optimizations.
• Lead requirements analysis, design reviews, and performance evaluations.
• Serve as the top escalation point for complex software issues.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with CI Polygraph and US citizenship.
• 10+ years of specialized software development experience (certifications or prior work may substitute).
• Deep expertise in enterprise software design and A/V or VTC integration.
• A proven track record of delivering mission-critical software solutions.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

About the mission

Blackwatch provides skilled personnel to the FBI to design, develop, deploy, and maintain secure audio/video, VTC, and collaboration systems in classified and unclassified environments across multiple FBI locations.
