Software Developer / Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1.   Front-End Development

• Develop responsive web applications using Next.js, React.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
• Build reusable components and manage application state with Redux Toolkit.
• Integrate front-end applications with back-end APIs, including validation and error handling.

2.  Back-End & API Development

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side services and APIs using Java Spring Boot, Ruby, or Go.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and indexes, and prepare data migration scripts.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection in line with security and PDPA requirements.

3.  Delivery & Code Quality

• Analyze requirements with Product Owner and business users, provide estimates, and deliver within agreed timelines.
• Write clean, testable code following team standards; use Git with proper branching and merge request practices.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and Agile ceremonies.

4.  Deployment & Production Support

• Support build and deployment through CI/CD pipelines together with the DevOps team.
• Investigate production incidents, fix defects, and perform root cause analysis.
• Maintain technical documentation such as system design, API specifications, and runbooks.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer, Software Engineer, or a related role.
• Experience with React.js or Next.js. Familiarity with TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, or Redux Toolkit is an advantage.
• Hands-on back-end development experience with at least one technology, such as Java with Spring Boot, Ruby, or Go.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SQL and at least one relational database. Experience with PostgreSQL is preferred.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot issues across the full stack, from browser to database.
• Strong communication skills with integrity, accountability, and a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform, or containerized deployment.
• Experience with Redis or another caching solution or a NoSQL database.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Experience working in an Agile or Scrum team.
• Experience integrating with enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, or payment gateways.
