Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Software Developer based in Sri Lanka to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and support related services for integration products and bespoke applications that Anthesis have developed for clients.In includes building high-quality desktop and server-based applications to specification for Anthesis clients.

Duties

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and support bespoke software solutions, integrations, and applications for Anthesis clients.
• Develop and maintain modern web, desktop, and server-based applications using C#, .NET, Angular, and related technologies.
• Design and implement APIs, integration services, and automation solutions using REST/JSON, SOAP/XML, and other enterprise integration technologies.
• Work directly with customers to gather requirements, understand business processes, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Produce technical designs, specifications, deployment documentation, and support documentation to company standards.
• Take ownership of solutions throughout their lifecycle, from initial concept and design through implementation, deployment, support, and continual improvement.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute towards coding standards, quality assurance processes, and development best practices.
• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and deployment processes.
• Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable software solutions following industry best practices and established design patterns.
• Work with cloud-hosted solutions and services within Microsoft Azure, including App Services, Web APIs, Functions, DevOps, and related technologies.
• Perform database development and troubleshooting activities using SQL Server, Oracle, PL/SQL, and other relational database technologies where required.
• Support ERP integrations and extensions involving IFS, Infor M3, and other enterprise systems as required.
• Provide third-line technical support for Anthesis-developed applications and integrations, ensuring service levels and customer expectations are met.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, consultants, support analysts, and customers to deliver successful solutions.
• Contribute to solution estimations, project planning activities, and technical risk assessments.
• Assist in mentoring junior developers and sharing knowledge across the wider development team.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies, tools, and development approaches that enhance service delivery and product quality.
• Utilise AI-assisted development tools responsibly and securely to improve productivity, code quality, documentation, and problem resolution while adhering to company policies and customer confidentiality requirements.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years working knowledge & experience with .NET Core and/or .NET Framework, or other enterprise grade applications using modern Microsoft technologies.
• Fixing and improving existing software within a professional environment.
• Experience with working in a multi-customer environment.
• Experience working with Visual Studio, NetBeans (IFS Developer Studio), Visual Studio Code, and managing GIT repositories.
• Extensive experience with JavaScript frameworks, specifically Angular, is highly desirable.
• Used and have developed CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments with automated testing.
• Use of AI and similar tools to enhance productivity in a safe manor.
• ERP integration experience (IFS, Infor M3) is desirable.

Skills Required

• Analytical & problem-solving skills for solving complex software bugs and feature requests.
• Microsoft Azure including DevOps, APIs, Web Apps or equivalent.
• High knowledge of SQL, C# and JavaScript (Typescript), JSON, XML, and PowerShell.
• Knowledge of Java, Python and VBA is desirable.
• Data analysis & interpretation.
• Understands best practise design patterns in areas such as security, access control, and code maintainability.
• Web and integration technologies like RESTful and SOAP.
• Familiar with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
• Ability to learn new languages and technologies.
• IFS technical, PL/SQL within Oracle Databases, SQL Server is desirable.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent with at least 3 years work experience in a software developer type role.
• Demonstrable portfolio of commercial software development projects or publicly available Git or SVN repositories.
• Microsoft Certification in Azure Developer, Fundamentals and DevOps engineer is highly desirable.
• IFS Integration Developer Certification is desirable.
