About the Role

Are you passionate about software development and skilled at turning complex technical concepts into clear, easy-to-understand documentation?

We’re looking for a Technical Writer with a background in software development or a related technical field to join our growing team. You’ll work closely with one of our directors to create, review, and refine technical documentation using client-provided materials, independent research, and, when needed, audio recordings or transcripts.

You don’t need to know everything from day one. We provide comprehensive training on our documentation standards and processes to help you succeed in the role.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who combines strong written English skills with technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and refine clear, accurate, and well-structured technical documentation.
• Review client-provided materials and conduct independent research to fill information gaps.
• Convert raw audio recordings, transcripts, and technical notes into polished documentation.
• Apply consistent documentation standards, terminology, formatting, and writing style.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to verify technical accuracy and completeness.
• Learn and apply new software tools, technologies, and documentation processes.
• Manage priorities and deadlines while maintaining high-quality output in a remote work environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Excellent written English skills, including grammar, clarity, and attention to detail.
• At least two years of experience in technical writing or a software-related role.
• Basic understanding of software development concepts, with familiarity with technologies such as Java or .NET.
• Familiarity with structured documentation, technical reports, or similar written materials.
• Strong research, analytical, editing, and information-organizing skills.
• Ability to learn new tools, technologies, and processes quickly.
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.
• Reliable internet connection of at least 5 Mbps for calls and file downloads.

An advantage: Experience in academic writing, research writing, or preparing structured technical reports.

What We Offer

• Salary: PHP 25,000 – PHP 30,000 per month (commensurate with experience)
• Bonuses: Performance-based incentives and 13th-month pay

Preferred Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (preferred)
• At least one year of BPO experience (required)
• Teaching experience (preferred)
• Two years of experience in software development, coding, or technical writing (preferred)
• Fluency in English
