Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and driven Software Development Engineer – 2 (SDE-2) to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong software development experience and a proven ability to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and reliable systems. In this role, you will take ownership of key engineering initiatives, collaborate closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, and contribute to building cloud-native, distributed, and AI-driven applications. You will work with modern technologies across backend systems, databases, cloud platforms, and emerging areas such as LLMs and AI workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain clean, efficient, scalable, and well-documented software solutions using Python or Java.

• Take ownership of end-to-end development of scalable, modular, and high-performance software components.

• Design and optimize NoSQL and RDBMS database solutions, including data modeling, queries, indexing, and performance optimization.

• Design, implement, and manage cloud-based applications and deployments using AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Develop and maintain secure authentication, authorization, and access-control mechanisms.

• Build and maintain automated testing and CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliability, code quality, and efficient software delivery.

• Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to define technical solutions and deliver business-critical features.

• Use Git and modern development practices while contributing to code reviews, technical documentation, and engineering standards.

• Work effectively in Linux-based development environments and follow industry-standard coding, security, and software engineering practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 2-3 years of experience.

• Strong proficiency in Python or Java.

• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.

Strong hands-on working experience with databases (SQL or NoSQL) concepts.

• Good knowledge of web development fundamentals (APIs, HTTP, REST).

• Strong hands-on working experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Strong hands-on working experience with CI/CD, testing frameworks, and Git workflows.

• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Good to Have:

• Prior experience working with distributed systems and cloud-based applications.

• Strong hands-on experience with LLMs, AI workflows, and RAG pipelines.

• Prior professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend engineering.
