What they need

Description Are you seeking an environment where you can apply state-of-the-art computer science techniques, build large-scale distributed systems, and directly impact how millions of customers experience ultra-fast delivery? Do you want to build the next generation of Quick Commerce fulfillment technology from the ground up?

Amazon's Quick Commerce (QC) business is scaling rapidly across multiple cities, fulfilling hundreds of thousands of daily orders with high expansion targets. We are building a brand-new QC under-the roof-fulfillment stack on AFT foundations.

Join the QC Fulfillment Technology team and be part of developing large-scale, composable, work-cell-based systems that power our micro-stores - from inbound receiving and guided stowing to picking, staging, and last-mile handoff. These systems will be used by thousands of store associates to delight millions of customers with 10-minute delivery. In this role, the SDE will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating scalable fulfillment services.

This is a true 0→1 opportunity where your code will directly impact how Quick Commerce fulfillment operates at Amazon.

Key job responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable services and APIs for the QC fulfillment stack
  • Develop systems that enforce operational controls beyond Amazon sites, including external fulfillment environments with our 3P partners
  • Collaborate with Senior SDEs, Principal Engineers, TPMs, and Product Managers to define technical solutions that solve fulfillment challenges at scale
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following Amazon's engineering best practices
  • Drive continuous improvement in system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency, targeting industry-leading speeds
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning sessions
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to raising the engineering bar across the team
  • Work in a fast-paced, agile environment with rapid iteration cycles, shipping new capabilities in weeks not months

We are standing up QC fulfillment stack that will scale beyond Amazon sites and beyond India.
