Job Summary

V7 AI Solutions is looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET-2) to build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web applications, APIs, and backend services. The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills, experience in automation testing, API testing, CI/CD, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain UI, API, integration, and end-to-end automation frameworks.
• Develop automation scripts using JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python.
• Automate web applications using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
• Perform API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or automated API frameworks.
• Validate backend services, databases, third-party integrations, and microservices.
• Develop and maintain unit, integration, regression, smoke, and E2E test suites.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test failures and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
• Participate in code reviews and improve engineering quality standards.
• Improve automation coverage and testing processes.
• Support Shift-Left Testing practices.
• Contribute to performance, security, and reliability testing.
• Maintain automation reports, documentation, and quality metrics.
• Mentor junior QA/SDET engineers.

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of experience in Software Testing, Automation Testing, or SDET.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar automation tools.
• Strong knowledge of REST API testing.
• Experience with Postman and automated API testing.
• Good understanding of SQL and database validation.
• Experience testing backend services and microservices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
• Good knowledge of Git and version control.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and software testing methodologies.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with TypeScript and Playwright.
• Experience with React or Next.js applications.
• Experience testing Node.js or NestJS applications.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Experience with Docker.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as k6 or JMeter.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with AI-assisted testing tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
