Location: Boston, MA or Seattle, WA – Onsite, 5 days/week

About the Role

We are looking for experienced Software Development Engineers (SDE I & SDE II) to join a fast-paced engineering environment. Candidates should have strong full-stack development experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs, and AWS.

The role involves designing, developing, testing, and supporting scalable production applications and services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications.
• Build backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop responsive front-end applications using React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Develop and support cloud-based applications using AWS.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested production code.
• Troubleshoot application and production issues and implement reliable solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high software quality standards.
• Work with databases and distributed systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in testing, deployment, performance optimization, and production support.

SDE I – Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong experience with React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-based applications.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
• Strong debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience building and supporting production applications.

SDE II – Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and React.
• Strong experience designing and developing scalable backend services and APIs.
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Strong AWS/cloud development experience.
• Experience with application architecture, system design, and performance optimization.
• Ability to independently own features and services from design through deployment and production support.
• Strong troubleshooting, testing, and code-review experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• TypeScript and/or Python.
• Docker and Kubernetes.
• CI/CD pipelines.
• Microservices and distributed architectures.
• SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Automated/unit testing.
• Performance optimization.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum engineering teams.

Work & Eligibility Requirements

• Must be able to work onsite 5 days per week in Boston, MA or Seattle, WA.
• This is a direct W-2 contract position.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
• Candidates must be available for a full-time, 8-hour-per-day engagement.
• Initial contract duration is 3 months, with the possibility of extension.

Pay: $55.00 - $80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
