Software Engineer 4 - Media Encoding Pipelines

For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer 4 - Media Encoding Pipelines to join the team of a leader in the Hospitality & Recreation space.

This role will focus on building and enhancing scalable cloud-based encoding pipelines that support the delivery and organization of media assets. The engineer will play a key part in workflow orchestration, metadata publishing, and catalog management for a large-scale digital environment. This is a highly collaborative position that partners closely with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and drive successful project execution.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $250,000 – $413,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance scalable cloud-based encoding pipelines
• Support workflow orchestration and metadata publishing
• Prioritize tasks effectively within the encoding pipeline
• Manage catalog for various media assets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success

Qualifications

• 2+ years of working experience in a related field
• Proficient in Java and object-oriented design principles
• Experience designing and developing large-scale distributed systems
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like Amazon AWS
• Experience in media encoding system development is a plus
