Software Engineer & Project Closer

Job Summary

DevVaults is looking for a versatile and motivated professional who can contribute to both software development and client acquisition. The ideal candidate will have programming skills, an understanding of software development projects, and the ability to communicate with clients, understand their requirements, present technical solutions, and close software development deals.

This role combines technical expertise with business development and sales responsibilities, making it suitable for someone who understands technology and enjoys working directly with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Develop and support websites, web applications, APIs, and custom software solutions.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, debug code, and improve application performance.
• Collaborate with developers and project managers to deliver projects on time.
• Integrate third-party APIs and databases as required.
• Follow coding standards, use Git, and maintain technical documentation.

Project Closing & Client Management

• Communicate with potential clients interested in software development services.
• Understand client requirements, business objectives, budgets, and project timelines.
• Explain technical solutions, software features, and project deliverables to clients.
• Prepare and present project proposals, quotations, and technical scopes in coordination with the team.
• Conduct client meetings, follow up on leads, negotiate pricing, and close deals.
• Convert qualified prospects into paying clients.
• Coordinate with the development team to ensure a smooth transition from sales to project execution.
• Maintain client relationships and identify opportunities for repeat business.
• Track leads, client communications, project proposals, and closed deals.
• Contribute to both technical delivery and business growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as JavaScript, Python, PHP, Java, or C#.
• Understanding of software development, databases, APIs, and version control.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients.
• Confidence in conducting client meetings, handling objections, and negotiating project terms.
• Understanding of project scope, timelines, estimates, and deliverables.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to work on-site in Lahore, Pakistan.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in software development and client-facing technical roles.
• Previous experience in IT sales, software agency sales, or project closing.
• Familiarity with web development, mobile applications, custom software, or AI-powered solutions.
• Experience preparing technical proposals and project estimates.
• A portfolio, GitHub profile, or examples of completed projects.
