Renrui Lanka is expanding its talent pool and is seeking an experienced Software Engineer – Application & Software to join our Client’s team in Sri Lanka and support the implementation of telecommunications products for regional customers.

Job Overview

The role will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end delivery of CBS/BSS solutions, covering technical requirement clarification, product configuration and instantiation, system and integration testing, infrastructure setup, troubleshooting, and post-go-live support.

This is a customer-facing technical role with opportunities to work on Client's regional projects and requires flexibility to travel to Maldives , potentially up to 50% depending on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

• Support end-to-end delivery of CBS/BSS products from requirement clarification through go-live and post-go-live support.
• Conduct system, integration, regression, and UAT support activities.
• Analyze customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications and configuration parameters.
• Configure CBS/BSS modules including billing, rating, charging, account management, subscriber management, and product catalogue.
• Support data migration, provisioning, software installation, patching, and infrastructure configuration.
• Troubleshoot application and infrastructure-level issues and coordinate with relevant technical teams.
• Maintain technical documentation, configuration baselines, test reports, and delivery records.
• Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.

Qualifications & Experience :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, system implementation, or product delivery. Prior experience in the telecommunications industry will be an added advantage.
• Experience with CBS/BSS, telecom billing, charging, or OSS/BSS solutions is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix, SQL and relational databases, and at least one scripting language such as Shell, Python, or Perl.
• Familiarity with middleware, networking, software testing, version control, and CI/CD concepts.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness to work in a customer-facing environment and travel to regional customer sites, including Maldives, as required.
