Software Engineer, Billing Platform

For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer, Billing Platform to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will focus on building and evolving core platform capabilities that support complex billing-related workflows at scale. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver user-first solutions that improve reliability, performance, and customer experience. The position also offers the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, contribute to high-impact product development, and help shape the future of financial technology.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $140,000 – $170,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design innovative products to support high-growth company and customer needs
• Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize user-first solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and facilitate their professional growth
• Debug and resolve critical production issues across the stack
• Ship code daily, contributing to both internal and external features

Qualifications

• 4-12+ years in backend or platform software development
• Proficient in high-quality code writing, especially in Go, Java, or C/C++
• Experience in building large-scale distributed systems
• Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to operate independently with an entrepreneurial mindset
