Software Engineer, Cloud Enablement

For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer, Cloud Enablement to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will focus on building and improving cloud-facing infrastructure that supports secure, reliable request handling and developer workflows. You will partner with engineers across teams to deliver scoped enhancements, strengthen observability, and make the platform easier to use in production environments. The position also offers the opportunity to contribute to open-source software that has direct customer impact while working in a collaborative, fast-moving engineering organization.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Implement features in the proxy codebase with production-quality code
• Enhance core components for request handling, configuration, and security integrations
• Maintain observability by adding logs, metrics, and traces, and assist in troubleshooting
• Write tests to ensure code correctness and prevent regressions
• Work alongside engineers from various teams to execute scoped projects safely
• Improve developer experience by creating documentation and simplifying platform usage

Qualifications

• Proficient in Go or comparable systems programming languages
• Understanding of service-to-service communication and distributed systems principles
• Familiarity with security concepts like mTLS, JWT, OIDC, and OAuth
• Ability to independently tackle a project from problem identification to solution and documentation
• Collaborative mindset for cross-functional teamwork
