Software Engineer

We are looking for a skilledNative Android Developer to design and build advanced applications for theAndroid platform. You will be responsible for the development and maintenanceof Android applications, working alongside our cross-functional teams to conceive,design, and ship new features. You will be a part of across-functional team that is responsible for the full mobile applicationdevelopment lifecycle, from conception to deployment and ongoing maintenance.

Responsibilities

Designand build advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin and Java.

Collaboratewith cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Workwith outside data sources and APIs, including RESTful services and third-partySDKs.

Unit-testcode for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.

Identifyand correct bottlenecks, fix bugs, and improve application performance.

Continuouslydiscover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximise developmentefficiency.

Translateproduct requirements and wireframes into functional, high-quality Androidapplications.

EnsureUI/UX best practices and Material Design guidelines are adhered to throughoutdevelopment.

Participatein code reviews to maintain code quality, organization, and consistency.

Maintainand improve existing Android codebase; document application changes and developupdates.

Integratewith CI/CD pipelines and ensure automated testing coverage.

Collaboratewith backend engineers to integrate REST APIs and optimize data exchange.

Skills Qualification

Must Have

Bachelor'sdegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.

2-4 years of proven experience as an Android Developer with published apps on theGoogle Play Store.

Strongproficiency in Kotlin; working knowledge of Java.

Solidexperience with the Android SDK, Android Studio, and associated developmenttools.

Familiaritywith Android architecture components: ViewModel, LiveData, Room, WorkManager.

Experiencewith MVVM or MVP architectural patterns.

Proficientin consuming RESTful APIs using Retrofit or OkHttp.

Experiencewith dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger 2 or Hilt.

Familiaritywith reactive programming using RxJava or Kotlin Coroutines and Flows.

Proficientunderstanding of code versioning tools, particularly Git.

Experiencewith unit testing and instrumented testing using JUnit, Espresso, or Mockito.

Goodunderstanding of memory management, threading, and performance optimisation inAndroid.

Good to Have

Experiencewith Firebase (Crashlytics, Push Notifications, Remote Config, Analytics).

Knowledgeof Jetpack Compose for building modern Android UI.

Experienceworking with payment SDKs or fintech applications.

Familiaritywith ProGuard / R8 and code obfuscation.

Understandingof CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bitrise.

Knowledgeof SQLite, Room, or other embedded database solutions.

Exposureto Agile / Scrum methodologies.
