Software Engineer

We are looking for a Software Engineer (Automation Engineer) to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to software development, from analyzing client specifications to on-site installation activities at the client's location, ensuring the highest technical performance.

Main Responsibilities:

• Building and testing software (PCA, HMI) prior to on-site use.
• Creating and developing concepts for control systems and architecture, in accordance with client requirements and COMAU standards.
• Creating specifications for automation control.
• Creating and testing software programs for automated industrial lines.
• Creating HMI (Human Machine Interface) applications.
• Planning the software structure and writing code in accordance with project requirements.
• Verifying software programs using specific tools to prevent errors.
• Participating in the machine integration and debugging process directly at the client's site, when necessary.
• Providing technical support for external resources.

Job Requirements:

• University degree in fields such as IT, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Automation.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role as an Electrical or Automation Engineer.
• Mandatory knowledge of working tools: PLC, HMI, and software development.
• Mandatory programming knowledge in languages such as VBA, VB, C++, etc.
• Networking and communication knowledge (Ethernet-based and fieldbus).
• Intermediate English proficiency is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Italian or German is an advantage (optional criterion).
• Good communication skills, team spirit, and organizational abilities.
• Flexible and adaptable attitude.
• Results-oriented with the ability to achieve results while working under pressure.
• Organized, empathetic person, with synthetic thinking and initiative.
• Good problem-solving and system analysis skills.
• Willingness to travel to the client's site (for a minimum of 50% of the working year).
