Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

• Design and create realistic backend engineering tasks involving bug fixes, feature development, and system improvements.
• Develop reference solutions and verification mechanisms for coding challenges.
• Analyze, debug, and resolve software issues across different codebases.
• Implement new features and improve existing backend functionality.
• Refactor code to improve maintainability, performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Review software solutions and assess code quality.
• Contribute technical insights that support AI training and evaluation projects.
• Develop deterministic verification methods that validate correct solutions and identify incorrect implementations.
• Document findings and provide clear technical reasoning when reviewing solutions.

Requirements:

• Strong backend development experience with one or more of the following: Python, Java, Node.js, Go, Rust, TypeScript, C++
• Experience building scalable backend services and APIs.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience optimizing application performance and reliability.
• Familiarity with automated testing practices.
• Strong code review and software quality assessment skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven track record delivering high-quality backend systems.
• Experience identifying and resolving software bottlenecks and production issues.
• Experience implementing complex features in large-scale applications.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience maintaining and refactoring large codebases.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and provide structured feedback.

Compensation & Engagement:

• Remuneration: NGN 700,000 monthly
• Employment Type: Contractor
