Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain reliable software systems supporting XDOF's robotics and AI operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, robotics, data, and operations, to develop software solutions, improve system performance, and support data-driven robotic applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and reliable software applications.
• Develop backend services, APIs, and internal tools to support robotics and AI-related workflows.
• Build and maintain data processing pipelines and software systems used for robotic data collection and management.
• Develop and integrate software components with existing systems and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance and system reliability.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented, and reusable code.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to software development best practices.
• Collaborate with Robotics, Data, and Operations teams to translate business and technical requirements into effective software solutions.
• Participate in system design, technical discussions, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor and improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.

Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Informatics, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or Java or other relevant programming languages.
• Experience developing software applications, backend systems, APIs, or similar software solutions.
• Good understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with database systems and SQL.
• Experience with Git/version control and standard software development workflows.
• Understanding of REST API and system integration.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and willingness to work cross-functionally.
