C++ Performance Engineer | Prague (Hybrid) | Permanent

TechOhana have partnered with an established fintech business to bring on a C++ Performance Engineer in Prague.

The job is making a high-performance core trading platform faster and leaner. Real bottlenecks, live system, measurable results.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲:

Find and fix performance and memory bottlenecks in production C++. Build the telemetry, logging and real-time monitoring that show what the platform is doing. Keep the legacy code healthy while you refactor it towards a data-oriented design.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴:

• Solid professional C++17 (or later), written with a data-oriented mindset

• Systems-level Linux on real-time software: multithreading, memory ordering, lock-free and wait-free patterns

• Production debugging chops, including GDB coredumps

• perf, Valgrind, gprof or similar profiling tools

• Financial markets, FIX or low-latency networking

• Some Python

• AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code
