Software Engineer

Our tech client is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. 

This will be a fully remote role, working PST hours, 40 hours/week from 10.12.2026 through 12.11.2026. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Kotlin.

• Develop and support distributed systems in cloud environments such as AWS and Kubernetes.

• Participate in code reviews, technical design, and architectural discussions.

• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams. 

• Mentor junior engineers and promote coding best practices. 

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for enterprise-scale applications.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of software development experience building scalable, highly available applications. 

• 3+ years of experience with Java, Kotlin, or similar backend technologies. 

• 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. 

• Experience designing, documenting, and supporting REST APIs. 

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. 

• Authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis.
