Software Engineer

The Nordwand Group is currently looking for a Software Engineer to join a new client in central Zurich. The team is small but secure and we want engineers who are passionate about leveraging AI tools to solve real business problems and implement solutions.

This position suits someone who can distinguish rapid experimentation from production engineering, someone who is excited by AI-assisted development and can make critical judgment when working with AI-generated output tools. The client is rebuilding core tooling from the ground up—replacing vendor platforms with in-house built solutions designed around how the people work. The teams across the firm use AI tools to rapidly prototype requirements and designs, using them as blueprints for highly engineered, production-ready systems.

As an Software Engineer you will have the following responsibilities:

• Work with analysts and architects to understand problems and turn requirements into working prototypes
• Use AI tools to prototype requirements and UI designs, and use the results as input for implementation
• Design, build, and test production-quality full stack applications
• Review AI-generated code for quality, security, and maintainability
• Deploy and run applications on Kubernetes

The person we are looking for:

• 5-10 years of software development experience
• Java, Spring Boot, Angular, relational databases (data modelling, SQL), AI tools, experience with deploying applications on Kubernetes (containers, Helm, CI/CD)

If you are interested in this position, please apply with your updated CV to Immanuel Munafo at the Nordwand Group.
