Software Engineer

We are looking for a Software Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable cloud-native data platform solutions. This role will play a critical role in developing high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems and cloud infrastructure that power data-driven experiences across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement reliable, scalable, high-throughput, and low-latency software solutions and cloud infrastructure components.
• Develop well-documented, maintainable code while adhering to software engineering best practices.
• Design low-level system architecture including data structures, application design patterns, class structures, and code organization.
• Build and maintain cloud-native solutions utilizing AWS services and infrastructure-as-code frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to define technical solutions.
• Evaluate and propose technical approaches that improve system scalability, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to reuse, generalize, or enhance existing services and platforms.
• Contribute to DevOps initiatives including CI/CD pipelines, automation, testing frameworks, and deployment processes.
• Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure code quality and consistency across the team.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and promote engineering excellence within the organization.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to cloud infrastructure, software engineering, and data management.

Core Qualifications:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience developing scalable applications and distributed systems.
• Expert-level Python development experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Proven DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines, docker/containerization, automated testing, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems architecture and performance optimization.
• Experience evaluating and implementing data storage solutions, including SQL and NoSQL technologies.
• Ability to design scalable solutions while balancing performance, maintainability, and operational costs.
• Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring engineering team members.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with strongly typed programming languages such as TypeScript or Java.
• Background building and supporting data platforms, data pipelines, or analytics ecosystems.
• Experience working alongside data scientists and machine learning teams.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and streaming technologies.
• Experience designing cloud-native microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of large-scale enterprise environments with complex integration requirements.
• Experience optimizing systems for scalability, resiliency, and fault tolerance.
• Prior experience in media, entertainment, hospitality, consumer technology, or large-scale customer-facing platforms.
