Someone who sees AI as the most exciting thing about the job, not a threat to it. Force24 is a UK marketing automation platform used by marketing teams who want to engage their customers smarter. We're a scale-up with real customers, real revenue and a big ambition: to lead martech into its AI-powered future. The role

You'll join our engineering team building the back end services, APIs and data layer that power the Force24 platform. In a flat, dynamic structure there's no long chain of sign-off: you'll have a direct say in how we build, and your work will make a visible difference to thousands of marketers.

What you'll be doing

• Designing, building and maintaining back end services and APIs in C# / .NET

• Writing and optimising queries and data models across SQL Server and PostgreSQL

• Helping us evolve our data platform, including our move towards Postgres

• Building and tuning search features with Elasticsearch

• Using agentic coding tools and AI assistants day to day, and helping the team get more out

of them

• Bringing new ideas on tools, practices and architecture, and having the room to try them

• Writing clean, tested, maintainable code and taking part in code reviews via GitHub

• Working in an agile way with product and engineering colleagues, tracked in Jira

• Investigating and fixing production issues, and improving performance and reliability

What we're looking for

You'll have:

• A few years' commercial experience as a software engineer, working mainly on the back

end, and confident delivering features without close supervision

• Strong C# and .NET skills, building APIs and services

• Solid SQL skills: writing efficient queries, designing schemas, understanding indexes and

performance

• Experience with Git-based workflows, pull requests and code review

• A good grasp of software fundamentals: OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns and unit

testing

• Hands-on use of AI coding assistants or agentic tools, and genuine curiosity about where

they're taking our industry

• A habit of bringing ideas to the table and the confidence to share them

• Clear communication and a collaborative, team-first attitude

Bonus points for:

• PostgreSQL, or experience migrating between database platforms

• Elasticsearch or other search technologies

• Cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines and containers

• High-volume data processing or message queues

• An interest in marketing technology, SaaS or customer data

Location: Leeds / Yorkshire. You'll work mostly from home, joining us in Leeds for team days

and up to one day a week in the office when needed. Candidates based in or near Leeds and

Yorkshire are preferred.
