CDW is seeking a Software Engineer to join a Food Technology team and help rewrite existing applications that integrate with a new product management and inventory management solution. The role calls for a hands-on developer/engineer with strong C#/.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, front-end development, unit testing, version control, and agile experience, along with clear communication and regular team interaction.

Responsibilities

• Rewrite existing Food Technology applications to integrate with a new product management and inventory management solution.
• Develop and maintain solutions using C# on .NET Framework 4.8+ and .NET 8+.
• Work with Microsoft SQL Server, including table creation, indexing concepts, stored procedures, views, and ORM tools such as Entity Framework.
• Contribute to front-end development using HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, and a modern UI framework such as Angular, React, Vue, or Blazor.
• Create and maintain unit tests using xUnit, nUnit, or MSTest.
• Use Git/Azure Repos for version control and work within agile techniques and practices.
• Communicate clearly and interact with team members regularly.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of C# experience using .NET Framework 4.8+ and/or .NET 8+. Candidates with less tenure may be considered when their demonstrated skill level clearly exceeds their years of experience.
• 3+ years of Microsoft SQL Server experience, including creating tables, understanding indexing, writing stored procedures/views, and familiarity with ORM tools such as Entity Framework.
• 3+ years of front-end experience with HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern UI frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue, or Blazor.
• 2+ years of unit testing experience with xUnit, nUnit, or MSTest.
• Familiarity with version control software, including Git/Azure Repos.
• Familiarity with agile techniques and practices.
• Ability to speak clearly and interact with team members regularly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multithreaded Windows Services (.NET).
• Experience with event-driven architecture concepts, including MQTT or similar technologies.
• Experience with SSIS.
• Experience creating NuGet packages.
